eUnited sign Swole Patrol trio
With these changes, eUnited hope to find some much-needed stability after going several roster changes in recent months. The team’s failure to win the IEM Sydney qualifier, in which Yassine “Subroza” Taoufik acted as a stand-in, was the final nail in the coffin as the organisation decided against renewing the contracts of Will “dazzLe” Loafman and Michael “dapr” Gulino.
MarkE, food and vanity link up with eUnited
In a statement, Austin “Cooper-” Abadir spoke of his confidence in the new additions and admitted that the team’s culture had “been unsteady”, adding that vanity “will bring a new perspective to calling for the team”.
eUnited‘s General Manager, Daniel Clerke, also shared his views about the changes, saying:
“This has been a very difficult year for eUnited Counter-Strike. We are very proud of what we have accomplished and plan to improve upon our successes from 2018. With that being said, our organization has identified that the best option for our team is a culture shift. I am deeply saddened to have to move on from Will and Mike.”
This past year with them has been incredible and I wish them both the best in their futures not only as players but as people who I have become friends with. However, I am very optimistic and excited about the potential with the new team and am excited for a complete reset for 2019.”
This leaves Braxton “swag” Pierce and trial coach Danny “fRoD” Montaner as the sole members on Swole Patrol, whose future and spots at IEM Sydney & in ESL Pro League Season 9 remain up in the air. Since eUnited also have a Pro League license, it is possible that the team will be allowed to retain their spot in the competition, which starts in two months.
With the changes, eUnited‘s complete roster looks as follows:
