FACEIT partners with Twitch, YouTube for London Minors
Besides the two official streaming platforms, CS:GO’s in-game player will also stream the entire Minor circuit, which will begin on Saturday with the Americas event.
Spectators watching the matches via YouTube will be in with a chance to earn loot drops worth 10M FACEIT points, whereas on Twitch, viewers will gain access to unique emotes as a subscriber and to a separate subscriber-only chat.
The Twickenham Stadium will host all four Minors
YouTube has been the official broadcast platform of FACEIT’s Esports Championship Series (ECS) for the last three seasons, after the two companies signed a multi-year partnership in March 2017. Previously, Twitch had been the league’s exclusive streaming partner since the competition was created.
FACEIT has not yet revealed any details about the streaming platform for the Major, which will culminate with the playoffs at the SSE Arena from September 20-23.
All four Minors will be held in a closed environment at the Twickenham Stadium, in London, where the 32 competing teams will have access to 24-hour practise rooms, two stages, an on-site gym and an executive chef.
