Montpellier to host ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals
The $750,000 tournament will be held at the Montpellier Exhibition Center alongside Occitanie Esports, an event which hosts competitions in various games and other gaming activities, whose first edition in 2018 attracted over 7,000 participants.
On the first three days of the competition (June 18-20), 16 teams will compete in the group stage, including eight from the European division and six from the Americas, whose regular seasons will be held offline for the first time, with the remaining two coming from the APAC division, played online.
ESL Pro League’s ninth season’s finals will take place in Montpellier in southern France
The six best teams from the group stage will advance to the playoffs, held at the 14,000-seater Sud de France Arena from June 21-23.
The ninth season marks the first time the finals of ESL Pro League will take place in France, after the last four finals of the league went back and forth between Dallas, Texas for the first season of the year and Odense, Denmark for the second.
Tickets to the event ranging between €25 to €100 will go on sale here on March 22.
