Singularity release team; players part ways
In a statement posted on their official website, the Scandinavian organisation explained that they are currently undergoing a restructuring and that they “have not been able to find a sustainable source of funding” to support CS:GO professional or even semi-professional operations at this point.
With this decision, Singularity pull the plug on a 10-month association with the team, whom they signed from Gatekeepers in August 2017.
Singularity’s team is no more as players will go their separate ways
While competing under Singularity, the team most notably competed at the ROG MASTERS 2017 EMEA Finals, losing to Gambit in the quarter-finals, and reached the last-four stage at Nordish Gaming Convention Masters 2017.
The news also led to the disbandment of the team as the players came to the conclusion that going their separate ways and trying their luck in other teams “would be the best decision.”
“We put in a lot of work and we were close to making it one step further on many occasions but sadly never made it,” a team statement reads.
“The last 6 months have been fun and a good learning experience for all of us. We thank Singularity for their trust and support in us during the good/bad times and the player swaps.”
